The purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of Collaxyl on skin repair processes, using an ex vivo model of experimental wound healing. |

| Method |
| Collaxyl was applied at 1% on the dermis side of 3 mm punch biopsies, for 10 seconds. 2 biopsies were placed right next to each other on the same insert. Inserts kept biopsies at the ir-medium interface. Control, untreated skin biopsies were placed on inserts in the same conditions. Treated and untreated skin samples were cultured for 3 days and then prepared for standard H&E staining and microscope observation. |

| Results |
| Treated skin exhibited a remarkable better epidermal and dermal structre than control samples. The epidermis showed a complete repair and healing with no signs of stress, and the dermis showed an advanced healing and had a superior fibrillar structure in Collaxul-treated samples. |

| Conclusion |
| Studies on experimentally-induced full-thickness skin wounds show that Collaxyl-treated skin exhibits complete and rapid epidermal regeneration and repair compared to untreated skin. |
